Holly Lynne Smith (M.A., B.A., Wheaton College) is a writer and self-taught printmaker whose work celebrates the role of the material world, including the human body, in the story of redemption God has written for his creation. Holly grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, where she now lives with her husband and three sons, and when she has a spare minute she’s likely to be found thrifting, DIYing, or spending time outdoors.

Holly is a self-taught printmaker specializing in the printing method known as “linocut.” After carving an inverse image of her design onto linoleum or rubber blocks, she rolls ink onto the surface of the blocks and presses paper down on them in order to transfer the image. Once Holly has carved a block, she can reuse it countless times to make multiple copies of the same design.
